SITA Remediation has an expanded service program:

1. Soil Remediation
The perfomance of conventional (excavation) and in-situ (air sparging, soil vapour extraction, dual phase extraction, chemical oxidation, pump & treat) remediation projects. Further information can be asked by phone (+31 (0)30 - 2470969) at Jeroen Vermeulen.

2. Water treatment
We are able to treat (ground)water with various contaminations by techniques as filtration, biological (Biopim), strips, adsorption, ion exchange, coagulation / flocculation, flotation and sinking. Further information can be asked by phone (+31 (0)30 - 2470943) at Michael Wanders.

3. Acceptation of (contaminated) soil
At the temporary storage site (better known as TOP) in Utrecht you can deliver all kind of contaminated soil, clean soil, category 1 and 2, and also secondary building materials. Besides we can manage approvals for each amount and realise the purification. By agreement SITA Remediation is able to take over a complete amount. It is also possible to storage temporary an amount and pick it up in a later stage. Further information can be asked by phone (+31 (0)6 - 22957659) at Gerrit-Jan Fieggen.

In the schedule below a list of several acceptation values for thermal desorption are given; for the TOP larger acceptation values are possible.

*   For the storage of soil contaminated with mercury (Hg) there is an acceptation value of 50 mg/kg dry matter; the soil has to mixed up functional with other soil till < 8 mg/kg dm.
**  For these contaminations there are maximum values for thermal treatment, but not for acceptation; the soil can functional be mixed up for purification.
***  EOX/EOCl are organo halogenide connections like fights means (for example HCH, DDT, drins), PCB and solvations (for example Per- and Trichlorethylene)

4. On-site projects
In case of a very sizable project it's possible to use a mobile soil purification plant at the remediation site itself. This remediation project could be located in the Netherlands or in another European country. Besides it is possible to engineer and build a complete stationaire thermal desorption plant. An example for these activities is the project Chesterfield, where more than 300,000 tons contaminated soil has to be purificated.
