Water treatment unit on a lake (IJsselmeer)
Using a water treatment unit on the water!
Between sheet piles reparation takes place at a gas pipeline situated into the bottom of the lake "IJsselmeer" in The Netherlands. To operate these activities well, (ground) water has been extracted and treated by SITA Remediation because of the high concentrations of Ferro.
The unit has been located on a floated surface at the lake. The outlet of the unit is sufficient related to the target and can be pumped back into the water outside the sheet piles. Sometimes the sand filters will be backwashed and dirty water will be collected into tanks. Above water will be returned to the inlet tank and mud will be removed and transported from the location. The floated surface has been estimated for a weight of more than 100 tons. The water treatment unit has a capacity of 75 m3/hour for duration of several weeks.
